An extensive network of experts from public institutions and MS manufacturers also helps GeneBio to further develop SmileMS in line with MS instruments, applications and user needs (research, routine, etc.).

Prof Dr. Dr. h.c. H. Maurer
Department of Experimental and Clinical Toxicology
Saarland University
Germany
Professor Maurer and his team are working on a project to generate the first metabolites-containing LC-MS library of drugs and poisons using the ThermoFisher linear ion trap LXQ MS. They are testing the LC-MS approach and comparing it with the well-established GC-MS techniques to provide a complementary method. In this collaboration SmileMS is used to identify compounds, including metabolites, with a high level of confidence supporting the research and the creation of MS libraries. More ...

BBGes
Institute of Toxicology
Clinical Toxicology and Poison Information Centre Berlin
Dr. T. Grobosch
Germany
The BBGes and GeneBio are collaborating to enhance SmileMS functionality for the identification of xenobiotics using a fully automated online-e(x)traction method for the analysis of serum/plasma samples with a HPLC (LC) for chromatographic separation and a qQTOF instrument (XLC-qQTOF) for mass detection. The Institute of Toxicology is the first Toxicological Laboratory which has been successfully integrated SmileMS on a qQToF instrument. More ...
