GeneBio's Phenyx Protein ID Platform Chosen by University of Tokyo Geneva, Switzerland and Tokyo, Japan - November 11, 2007 - Geneva Bioinformatics (GeneBio) SA and the University of Tokyo today announced that the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) has acquired the protein identification search engine Phenyx of GeneBio. Thanks to the work of GeneBio’s Japanese Branch (www.genebio.co.jp), the University of Tokyo will now have access to this world-class proteomics platform in order to further their research efforts. This latest addition to the Phenyx growing client list comes on the heels of releasing the updated Phenyx 2.5 platform, launched at the HUPO 2007 World Congress in Seoul, Korea at the beginning of October. Developed in collaboration with the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB), Phenyx is GeneBio’s renowned software platform for the identification and characterization of proteins and peptides from mass spectrometry data, specifically designed to meet the concurrent demands of high-throughput MS data analysis and dynamic results assessment while offering a flexible user experience and an adaptable architecture to help instill confidence in results assessment.
